Winter Warmers; Part 1

It's strange to think that a little over a week ago I was sitting in almost 30 degree heat in the luxury of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, when now I'm sitting at my dining table in pyjamas and a dressing down listening to the rain beat down outside.

It was hard to think while I was sunbathing and generally making the most of the last few days of the holiday that, fast forward a few days, and I would be back home and battling the onslaught of the winter weather. My sources had reliably informed me that it was rain, rain and more rain at home.....with some gusty winds thrown in for good measure.

Sure, I like winter as much as any girl who loves Christmas and wrapping up warm. Not to mention the excitement that is pulling out all of last year's winter sales bargains that you never got a chance to wear before the weather tuned nice. And by "nice" I don't actually mean "nice", I simply mean there's no rain, the sky is a colour resembling blue and the sun is out albeit not necessarily hot.

You know the weather I'm talking about girls; the Let's ditch the snow boots and thick socks for ballet pumps sort of weather. The Let's not wear a hat to work anymore because my ears won't freeze sort of weather. The sort of weather that has you grabbing for the nearest razor in absolute horror as you struggle to remember the last time you shaved your legs because, let face it, we need all the insulation we can get in the winter. (Thats the "old" me talking by the way, just so you know my razor and I have a very good relationship and we talk every day regardless of the season).

But I digress, we're here to talk about winter wardrobes and winter warmers....and as a girl who feels the cold a lot more keenly than most I love this time of year.

So without further ado here are my favourite Winter Warmers. Let's kick things off with hats and scarves shall we.....?

I don't know about you but I am looking forward to the cold winter nights, the cheeky hot chocolates with marshmallows and cream and all the wrapping up that you can shake a stick at.

Check back soon for more Winter Warmers.

Have a lovely day, whatever you're up to.
